INTERIOR + LANDSCAPE
DESIGN SERVICES
Services are structured around the level of design support your project needs, from an initial conversation and fresh perspective to a comprehensively developed design.
-
An accessible starting point for a space that needs a fresh perspective, or for clients who aren't yet sure how much design help they need.
We'll meet at your space to walk through what's working, what isn't, and what you hope could be different. This is primarily a conversation: I'll offer ideas, identify opportunities, and help you see possibilities you may not have considered.
Afterward, you'll receive a concise summary of my recommendations along with a small collection of reference imagery to help communicate the direction we've discussed.
Best for early-stage projects, smaller questions, or simply figuring out what your space could become.
-
For clients who want Brit Haus to answer the bigger question: What should this place become?
Rather than addressing individual decisions one at a time, I'll develop a cohesive design vision for the space—bringing together function, character, atmosphere, layout, materials, and the way the place should ultimately feel and work.
The emphasis here is on communicating the design itself, rather than documenting every detail required for implementation. Deliverables are selected according to the project and may include plans, expressive drawings, curated imagery, material or planting direction, and written design guidance.
You'll come away with a strong creative framework that can guide the project as you implement it yourself or work with contractors and trades.
-
For projects that need to move from a compelling concept to a thoroughly resolved design.
This service develops the larger vision into the specific decisions and information needed to carry it forward. Depending on the project, that may include detailed plans and drawings, material and finish selections, planting plans, fixtures and furnishings, dimensions, specifications, sourcing, or other project-specific documentation.
I remain involved through the design-development process to resolve questions and make sure the individual decisions continue to serve the larger vision. The result is a design that is not only imagined, but worked through in enough detail to be implemented with confidence.
Implementation and construction remain in the hands of the client and their contractors unless additional support is included in the project scope.
HOW TO WORK WITH ME
PROCESS STEPS
1
GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Before I start designing the space, I want to understand the people who will inhabit it. We'll talk about how you live or use the space, what you're drawn to, what matters to you, and what you want your surroundings to bring to your life.
2
GETTING TO KNOW THE PLACE
Next, I turn to the place itself—its character, conditions, challenges, opportunities, and everything it needs to accomplish. Depending on the project, this may include a site visit, photographs, measurements, existing plans, or other documentation.
3
DEVELOPING THE DESIGN
This is where everything comes together. I research, explore, test ideas, and develop a cohesive response to both the people and the place. Function, atmosphere, aesthetics, practicality, and detail are considered together, with every choice strengthening the larger idea rather than simply looking good on its own.
Here, you'll be introduced to the design vision for your space. Depending on your project and chosen service, this may take the form of plans, drawings, imagery, material selections, or written recommendations—each chosen to help you envision the possibilities and take the next steps.

BRINGING IT TO LIFE
With your design in hand, you're ready to bring it to life—whether you're tackling the project yourself or working with contractors and trades. For projects that need a little more guidance along the way, continued design support may be available depending on your chosen service and project scope.
TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SPACE.
Whether you have a specific problem to solve or a bigger vision taking shape, I’d love to hear about your space and what has you considering a change.
